The Town of Elk Mountain and the surrounding area has a rich heritage and a captivating history.  It is the story of survival, community and connecting the nation by trail, rail and highway.  This was accomplished by the labor of many brave men and women who foraged new trails and carved out an existence in the untamed wilderness of Wyoming.
